And now I'm gonna write about it in English cause it's my way of practising and fuck off. I also want to check how Grammarly works but it seems to refuse to work here... Maybe I'm doing smth wrong.
Okay, now I'm just writing right in the app itself. I want to make mistakes cause it's so cool when it goes like "IT'S NOT A BRITISH SPELLING" or smth.
Sorry, I'm all over the place. So, Daisy, yes. I found it accidentally when I was browsing YouTube with autoplay on. One video described this channel and I decided I wanted to see the whole story. Besides, when these review videos were uploaded, Daisy's story still hadn't been finished. It is now.
So it basically is a "vlog" channel, Daisy tells us about her life... with a monster. Isolated life. Only Daisy and the monster that her father has created before disappearing.
The videos themselves are pretty stupid actually: just a lonely girl telling us about her little garden, cooking smth and living her boring life (as boring as it can be with a monster around). Daisy is clearly lonely and miserable, and the actress (if I can call her so) is brilliant.
Well, of course, the story is fake. The monster is just a puppet (and a poorly made one), the girl... Maybe she is an actress, maybe she is the author of the whole story - who knows. I can only say that she is as believable as one can be. And this is why the story is so great.
I always hear YouTubers saying there are 'closed captions', but I just call them subtitles. And the story is in the subtitles even more than it is on screen.
I'm gonna be honest here. I'm disappointed with the ending. I mean, after the basement episode this one is weak and unfitting. Yeah, we can talk about the symbolism behind the whole series, and how the last episode is Daisy setting herself free, but... I'm not a fan of this. I had a story about a girl and her monster and how she struggled. I don't want a story about a girl just being depressed or smth. I'm here for the fantasy part, sorry.
And for some reason, most of the comments under the last video were in French, so I don't even know if there are people who share my opinion.
And wow Grammarly is really great. Just saying.
